Cuba’s New Wave

This semester I had the wonderful opportunity to work on a semester-long multimedia documentary website on the changes in Cuba due to the lifted embargo. I worked with a team of developers, as well as designers, reporters, and videographers to create this project, and during spring break I actually got to travel to Cuba for the project!

As a developer for the site, I worked on building the site, as well as creating interactive element’s to add to my specific story, Revolution on Wheels. I gained experience with the Google Docs based CMS that we built and implemented, as well as EJS, a templating language. I also learned how to use Git, GitHub, and version control to successfully work on a project with a team. Above all, I was blessed with the opportunity travel to another country and use my skills to create something truly amazing.

Show Tracker

Show Tracker is an application I created with the purpose of helping you keep track of TV shows you want to watch, are watching, or have already watched. It was built using Laravel, PHP, and Vue.js. It implements REST principles, which allows you to create, read, update, and delete items in your database via AJAX. The four HTTP methods used are: GET, POST, PUT, and DELETE. I also created an API documentation, and styleguide to assist in use and further development of this application.

Vue.js Application

Make way for Queen Bey!  I created a profile Beyoncé’s discography using the Vue.js Javascript framework. I’m a huge Beyoncé’ fan, and I’ve always wanted to make some type of application/graphic about her. I’m so glad that I finally did!
